Meath Care (Inc) was formed from the Ministering Childrens League, which was founded in England 1884.  In 1972 Meath opened a 70 bed aged care facility in Trigg and in 1998 completed construction of 39 retirement villas.  In 2000 Meath took over the Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI) Association in Como which includes a 64 bed aged care facility and 82 retirement villas.  In 2006 Meath commenced development of a 125 bed aged care facility and a 48 villa retirement village at Kingsley, which was completed in 2009.

The organisation is governed by a Board of nine Directors, five of which are appointed by Synod (Anglican Diocese of Perth) and four Directors are appointed by members at the Annual General Meeting.
